Day #2 “Where you’d like to be in 10 years”

10-years from now, I’ll have been a physician for nearly half that. Thankfully I’ll be done with fellowships and residency and perhaps relocated to one of the top 6 picks I’m actually deciding on now in the preparatory work.

My nieces and nephews will be in their youth and I hope to keep the close bonds we’ve already developed. I plan for all of them, one by one as they graduate highschool, the ability to pick anywhere in the world they want to visit and then go with them. My goddaughter will be the first one and I have a sneaking suspicion if I can remain so assiduous, she’ll likely want to go to Latin America. ..just sayin’.

10-years from now, depending on who’s still around, will greatly depend on if I’m in Minnesota, Washington or Alaska. My hope is on Minnesota, however, I’ll have lived in Seattle by then. In 10-years I’ll have also hit every single state in our country, Hawaii and Alaska included. A lot by car, a lot by air, a lot alone but a good share with friends.

I’ll have seen my best friends married and divorced (unfortunately) by then, buried my beloved dog; I’ll be paying off medical school debts, and hopefully changing the lives of people one day at a time, thanks to my job.
